1. Let's Meet
Your project commences with an immersive session which aims to grasp your lifestyle needs and functional requirements, alongside your aesthetic style. Initial surveys and questionnaires provide the studio with aspects of your life to enhance your project. Are you a home body? Do you like to Entertain? We cover these questions (and more) to create a detailed design program that suits your project. Collaborative imaging sessions establish the visual trajectory of the design before planning begins. Recognizing that every project is unique, the studio invests time in understanding your personal taste, ensuring the conceptualization and execution align seamlessly with your expectations and desires.
2. Planning + Design
As the planning and design phases are integrated, we will review design concept, photorealistic 3D renderings, the development of interior architectural floor plans, and curate your material palette. Custom millwork and design elements begin to take form. Design “field trips” will be taken where we visit specialty showrooms to view products and materials selected for your project, as well as engage with the artisans dedicated to bringing your vision to life.
3. Construction
Documentation
Upon completing the design phases, we will transition into developing a comprehensive drawing set that meticulously delineates every aspect of your project. These drawings serve multiple purposes: documenting all interior conditions of your home, acquiring permits from your local municipality, and furnishing your contractor with a detailed roadmap to execute your envisioned design. This drawing set includes floor plans, electrical plans, ceiling plans, power and data plans, finish floor plans, elevations, custom millwork details, and additional detailed drawings. Our aim is to ensure that your project not only meets your expectations in appearance and functionality but also to streamline the process for you, making it easy, stress-free, and enjoyable.
4. Construction
Administration
Weekly on-site communication and involvement with your chosen contractor throughout the entirety of construction is essential for the success and final outcome of your design project. During the construction administration phase, the studio remains actively engaged, conducting regular on-site visits to address any contractor inquiries and ensure that the work aligns seamlessly with the construction documents and design intent. ASDS places a high priority on cultivating strong relationships with seasoned contractors, artisans, and artists, who collaborate closely with the team to translate your vision into reality.
5. Furniture
Design
The studio specializes in a full-service furniture method, aiming to make the entire process enjoyable and hassle-free for you. From furniture plans and design, to presentation and sourcing, we handle every aspect including ordering and installing each piece. Your only task is to return home to your ready to relax and enjoy.
